Cinco de Mayo

Seems like a little bit a go that we celebrated the release of the Dillon's Distills 'Craft Cocktails' book-- It's 250 pages of seasonally inspired drinks and snacks. I think that's my favourite thing about the book-working through the recipes in each season while you can source fresh ingredients right here in Niagara.

Today, we're celebrating Cinco de Mayo with a little Guac and the Niagara Paloma! These pictures were photographed for Dillon's Distills, a craft distillery right here in Niagara. If you're coming into Niagara to visit, they have a beautiful sipping room that's open daily to sample gin, vodka, whisky--so much more. They have a line up of bitters that you'll also want to try. They're currently closed to the public due to Covid-19 and working around the clock, making sanitizer because they're awesome like that! But definitely drop by when you next visit. They're really good people making great things. #supportlocal

You can support the distillery by purchasing their book available on Indigo, Amazon and small retail shops across the country. You can also order their product online or visit the LCBO to stock your bar cart with Dillon's.

You can find the recipe for both the Pico de Gallo and Guacamole in the book in the spring section (page 75). The book is primarily cocktail recipes with a few really yummy snack options.

I've really missed shooting for my commercial clients. The food scene here in Niagara is pretty amazing and I've loved shooting and helping my clients market their businesses. Visit again soon for a little more local love-I'll be back to share more photos from more of my fave Niagara spots.
